Carlos Albert at Vietnam ““ART IN THE FOREST”

The sculptor Carlos Albert (Madrid, 1978) moves today, 7th October of 2017, together with his work team to Vinh Phuc’s district, near Hanoi, the Vietnamese capital, where it will take part of the program “Art in the Forest”; an ambitious project promoted by Hong Hac Dai Lai JSC, of the Flamingo Group, which tries to become the artistic and cultural referent of the Southeast Asia, with the creation of the future Museum of Contemporary Art, which will possess a great sculpture of the Spanish author.

In his enclosure of Phuc Yen, the Flamingo Dai Lai Resort has an area of 1,23 million square meters in a privileged environment of mountains, forests and lakes that they will turn into a magnificent frame for “Mirror – Root”, the corten steel sculpture, that with more than 5 meters of height and 3.000 kg of weight, the artist will realize in the new facilities that they have enabled for them, during his program of residence in Vietnam.

At present, there are not few  cities that already look monumental works of the sculptor, as the “Door of the Tolerance” that with 20 importance meters is raised at Parla’s entry or others of special sensibility, as which it honours the victims of the attempts of 11M, at the Holy Eugenia train station, in Madrid.

Since it began his gait, Albert has taken part in numerous international exhibitions, obtaining diverse recognitions as the Golden medal that granted him last year the Royal Academy of Fine arts Holy Isabel of Hungary of Seville but his stay in the Asian country, undoubtedly, will suppose a relevant point of inflexion in his professional career and in the artistic evolution of his personal and receptive work. In it, the line is his essential form, offering a formal, clear and dynamic language, whereas the volumes of his sculptures fuse with the environment, like rational drawings in the space. The tension relation between the sensation of lightness of his forms and the real weight of the materials, awards to his works a great force in subtle rhythms that embrace the space. They are atemporals works that cross the borders of reality formulated by the own artist.

We wish a lot of luck him in this new project.
